I chose Barbara to play at a surprise “significant” birthday lunch for my wife and twenty of her close girlfriends and I am so glad I did! As well as being a very talented musician and consummate performer, Barbara is also an absolutely lovely and very interesting lady.

From the outset Barbara was so very helpful with the planning of her performance, taking time to check on the nature of her audience and the venue setting, and offering suggestions for various songs to include in the playlist together with advice on some of my choices. She took the time to learn several new songs that I requested to be included in the playlist. Although she has performed in all manner of venues, she knew I was still nervous about the size of my venue as I thought it might be too small compared to her normal bookings; to reassure me she took it upon herself to visit the venue without telling me beforehand and then reported back to tell me to stop worrying! That’s the kind of lady she is; she seemed as anxious as me to ensure the event went well.

On the day of the lunch she arrived very early at the venue to set up and was emailing me to confirm that everything in the room was perfect. All the ladies present commented how stunning she looked and she gave a faultless performance. She exceeded all my expectations by huge margins.

Not only would I hire Barbara again in a heartbeat, I am desperately trying to think of functions I could arrange at which she could perform! She is one of the best!

Barbara is a total professional and extremely talented - just check out her YouTube channel (although you might, like me, end up watching for ages!). Barbara played during our wedding ceremony - as guests got seated, as I went down the aisle, when we were signing and as we left the ceremony. She was able to recommend timings for everything and chatted with us very honestly ahead of the wedding when we were deciding on songs to include. I was genuinely sad that I would not be there as she played as guests were getting seated! Barbara was such a special part of our day and I could not recommend her more.

She was very accommodating with us changing our wedding date, three times - thanks to COVID! And we are so happy she was there for us on our wedding date in August 2021. Barbara played at our function on Saturday 7th December and she was amazing. She contacted us to request our chioces of music, however we left this to her to decide on the basis that it was modern and would suit a range of adult ages. She played during our sit down 3 course meal and everyone really enjoyed her music. As this was black tie event, Barbara also wore clothing suitable for the function, this making it all the more brilliant. Barbara played beautifully and there were many comments of praise given. We have hired other musicians in the past but none were as good. We can't recommend her enough and if we ever need another violinist we will be sure to make contact with her again. We would not hesitate to go see her play and we cannot recommend her enough if you have an event you need music for.

Barbara was nothing short of amazing from original booking through to the performance for our wedding and we had lots of compliments from the guests throughout - we can’t thank her enough and thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting an elegant, professional and talented musician. Barbara played all our song requests and incorporated some others, arrived early to the venue to set up and prepare and was very patient with us when I turned up late! We can’t fault anything, which is rare for me but Barbara was truly five star in every respect!!
